Welcome, Stable Secretary fans!
We want you to know how much we appreciate you and your business, so each month, we will highlight our phenomenal customers in our new blog series: Stable Secretary Success Stories.

Ivy Hill Farm LLC, is a family owned and operated equestrian facility, located in Sewell, New Jersey. Managed by mother and daughter duo Maureen McDermott and Amanda McCleery, the facility has been in business for over 30 years.

Find out more about Ivy Hill Farm LLC below, their passion for horses, and their thoughts on Stable Secretary!

What is your current role within the equine industry?

Recycled Racehorses works as a liaison for horses coming off the track, helping to re-start and find them homes suitable for their second careers. We also offer a sale/ consignment program and do some lessons at the barn. We show actively on the hunter jumper circuits as well.

How did you hear about Stable Secretary?

Internet search, good old google! We were in need of a better program for our growing farm.

What do you like the most about Stable Secretary?

The ease of use from the mobile app to the computer. Input of appointments and information is so easy and streamlined. Reports print out quickly and simply when we sell a horse, and all of the information is right there to pass on to the next owner.

How did you become involved with horses?

I started riding when I was about six, and just never stopped! Our farm started with one pony and has evolved to a sales, training and boarding farm housing around twenty horses and ponies.

What do you do when you aren’t at the farm?

(Amanda): Being a mom and (Maureen): grand-mom! Two young kids keep us both super busy. During the summer we are at the shore as much as possible, when we aren’t at the barn.

Where are you from?

New Jersey, born and raised.

Five Fun Facts:

1. Recycled Racehorses has re-homed over 100 horses in the last 4 years.

2. The back of our farm is acres of peach trees, and a lot of fun trail riding for our horses to enjoy.

3. We do wine and ride benefits at the farm.

4. We are heading back to Kentucky to compete in the RRP Thoroughbred makeover again this year. We had four horses competing last year, Amanda’s personal horse and three sale horses. We highly recommend going to spectate (or participate) for the weekend!

5. Recycled racehorses has over 5,000 followers on Instagram.
