“Kendall Crutchfield is Club Manager and Hunter/Jumper Instructor of Boston Polo Club. Kendall began her equestrian career as Breeding Manager for a prestigious international friesian breeding facility in Maryland in 2007. There she had the opportunity to train and work closely with FEI International trainer and USDF Gold Medalist Julio Mendoza. Alongside Julio, Kendall developed a strong foundation and cultivated horsemanship by handling stallions, mares and foals, and working with young prospects daily. Kendall relocated to Texas in 2009 to begin her own private business and to continue her personal training with several top national hunter and jumper trainers. Throughout her riding and training career, Kendall has show on USEF “A” rated Circuits, successfully competing on both her own young prospects and client owned horses. Kendall specializes primarily in starting young prospects and training beginner to advanced level students. Her students have shown successfully on the local and national levels in the hunt seat disciplines. In 2015, Kendall once again relocated to the western Massachusetts area to accept a position as Head Coach for the Mount Holyoke College Interscholastic Equestrian (IEA) Team. In her 4 year tenure, Kendall produced nationally recognized finalist teams and individual riders. She continued her well rounded education riding with internationally recognized trainers such as Julie Winkle, Doug Payne, and Cathy Grady. In the summers, Kendall worked as Executive Equestrian Director for the top adventure summer camp in the nation, running a well managed program of 21 horses, 8 staff, and over 75 individual students. Kendall attended the private military institute Norwich University in Northfield VT, participating in the Army ROTC program for 4 years. Extensive military training and leadership opportunities have benefited her ability to work with both children and adults in a schooling environment. Kendall is committed to teaching riders the value of horsemanship- both in and out of the saddle. Her passion for the sport is palpable and her students and horses thrive under her tutelage. Kendall is a licensed Massachusetts riding Instructor who will hold both USHJA and ARIA certified instructor licenses by summer 2019.”
